The first step in purchasing a home is getting
prequalified.
This process is easy and quick. After getting
some information from you, we will promptly notify
you (and your realtor, if requested) in writing
for what price house you prequalify. Your mind
is at ease as you look for your dream home.
Mortgage Process:
1) You can choose the Loan
Officer to walk you through the loan
process. He or she will pre-qualify you, discuss
rates, loan
types, and loan
programs that would best suit your
situation and give estimates on monthly payments
and closing costs.
2) After the pertinent information is gathered,
your file is confidently transferred to Old Virginia
Mortgage, Loan
Processors. The processors carefully
insure all documents are present and decide if
other documentation will be required for underwriting.
The processors will contact the Old Virginia Mortgage
approved home appraisers as well as your chosen
home insurance agent.
3) After our qualified processors complete their
part of your file, it is confidentially transferred
to the Underwriting department where the final
loan approval process is completed.
4) Finally, you will “close” or sign all of your
approved loan documents at an attorney’s office
or title company. Congratulations!
